MOON & SKYGLOW FILTER
The included Moon and Skyglow filter is designed to reduce light pollution and moonlight while preserving the bandpasses of light you want to capture from celestial objects. Less aggressive than the integrated S50 filter, suitable for a wide range of DSO objects including galaxies, clusters, and nebula.
METAL DEW SHIELD
Metal dew shield with laser cut acrylic bahtinov mask for the SeeStar S50. The dew shield fits the front aperture of the SeeStar S50, and the bahtinov mask can be easily places on the end of the dew shield using the included alignment pegs.
The dew shield will also accept a 2" threaded filter, but it is very difficult to install or remove. See the separate SeeStar S50 filter adapter for an easier option.
The metal dew shield extends 1.5" to act as a light shield that helps reduce nearby stray light, and aid in protection against dew.
BAHTINOV MASK
Use the Bahtinov Mask for precise focus. Just point SeeStar at a bright star, put the Bahtinov Mask in place over the lens (using the dew shield) and center the diffraction spikes in the SeeStar manual focus settings. The bahtinov mask can be easily places on the end of the dew shield using the included alignment pegs. Be sure to remove the bahtinov mask before starting imaging.
2" METAL FILTER HOLDER
Easily use standard 2" astronomical; filters with your SeeStar! This adapter ring friction fits the front of the seestar, and has threads to accept standard 2" filters from major manufacturers including Optolong, ZWO, and others.
LENS CAP
Use the included metal lens cap for your SeeStar S50 to keep dust off the lens when in storage or transport. Also useful to capturing dark frames.
NOTE: Always remove the Dew Shield and Filter Adapter before shutting down your SeeStar. The Dew Shield or filter adapter will bump into the base of the SeeStar if left in place when shutting down.
