Coronavirus Update (4/3)
We are still filling online orders. With the Colorado Stay at Home order, we are on minimum basic operations, and operating in a warehouse and online fulfillment capacity. We are only filling online orders - no pickup option is available while the Stay At Home order is in effect.
We are taking this emergency seriously. We are observing strict social distancing, including from delivery carrier personnel, and there is never more than one of us on the premises at a given time. Cleaning any surfaces touched by us or delivery carriers is a daily priority. We are also taking extra precautions when packing your order to wash our hands before handling your items and packages.
Thank You for your support and business during this difficult time! It remains our goal to provide you with tools for learning and discovery that can provide a respite from the news and daily concerns we all face right now.
We at Mile High Astronomy, like many small businesses, are struggling and greatly appreciate your support during this difficult time. A Gift Card purchase goes a long way to help see us through this period, and is available to use online or in store once we reopen. We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. If you have any problems with a product purchased from us, please get in touch – you can reply directly to your order confirmation email.
Free Economy Shipping over $49
Due to the closure of our showroom, we are temporarily offering free economy shipping for most orders over $49 within the continental US. Exclusions apply to oversize telescopes, and counterweights. Most telescopes and mounts do quality for this promotion. Does not apply to Alaska and Hawaii or US territories.
Shipping method will be either UPS ground or USPS, based on lowest cost.
Note on Returns: Returns that shipped free will be charged the actual cost of shipping both ways.
We ship orders Monday through Friday. In-stock items ordered before 11:AM Mountain Time will generally ship same-day. In-stock items ordered after that cut-off will ship on the next business day. Please note that there may be delays due to missed pickups from carriers or other service issues. We cannot make and guarantee on specific delivery dates, as all carriers have also suspended their guarantees.
Sorry, but due to our dealer agreements, we only ship to U.S. addresses.
If you are not satisfied with an item purchased, you may return it within 30 days for a full refund*, less actual shipping costs both ways. Please contact us for return shipping information. Buyer is responsible for return shipping and insurance. *This policy does not apply to telescopes, mounts, cameras, and special orders. See below.
Defective or damaged items may be exchanged for the same item within 30 days. If you need to exchange a damaged or defective item, simply reply to your email order receipt. Please include a description of the issue and if possible a photograph showing the problem.
Telescopes, Mounts, Cameras, Binoculars
If you have a problem with a telescope, mount, binoculars, or camera purchased from us, please contact us for assistance – we are always happy to help! If the product is defective, we will repair or replace it within 30 days of purchase. Beyond 30 days, you should contact the manufacturer directly for the quickest possible resolution.
Unopened telescopes or mounts may be returned in original condition for a refund within 30 days of purchase.
Opened telescopes, mounts, cameras, or binoculars may be returned within 30 days of purchase, but are subject to a restocking fee of at least 15%.
Unfortunately, we have had issues with customers purchasing and returning telescopes they just want to use for a week or two, so we have had to institute this restocking fee policy.
Exchanges for items of a lower value will receive a store credit for the difference.
Special Orders, Drop Shipped, Used Products
Special order items or items that are labeled as Drop Ship are not returnable and may not be exchanged. A special order is any order placed for a product we do not normally stock. This includes many high end telescopes, mounts, and any custom items. If the item is in any way damaged or defective, we will work with the manufacturer to repair or replace the item.
Used items are not returnable and may not be exchanged.
Website and Pricing Errors
Mile High Astronomy makes no representation as to the completeness, accuracy, reliability, validity, or timeliness of product listings, descriptions, images, or prices. Such information and the availability of any product are subject to change at any time without notice. Mile High Astronomy makes a best faith effort to ensure accuracy, but shall in no instance be obligated to honor claims based on inaccurate information, features, images, or pricing.
We try our best to provide accurate information and pricing, but mistakes will occasionally occur (we're only human!). We do appreciate it when customers let us know of any such errors.
Meteorites and Jewelry
We stand behind the quality and authenticity of every meteorite and item of jewelry we sell.
If you are for any reason not satisfied with a meteorite or piece of meteorite jewelry, you may return it for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
We make every effort to verify the authenticity of the products we offer. If for any reason the authenticity of a meteorite we sell comes into doubt, we will contact past buyers of the item in question, explain the situation, and offer to refund the full purchase price if they wish to return the item.
