Condition: Used CPC 800, Celestron's 50th anniversary model in carbon fiber.  This one has an older NexStar (not the NexStar +) hand controller, without a USB port; it is about fourteen years old.  However, it has the newer, more advanced, StarBright XLT coatings and is Fastar capable.

The scope is in very good condition, mostly clean.  However, there is some minor spotting at about 12 o'clock on the of the corrector plate, as shown in the photos.  This will not significantly affect your views.

Otherwise, the optics look relatively clean, and the unit works well.  We have reduced the price significantly to reflect this - this scope is almost HALF OFF the price of the new one.

This comes with all of the standard accessories that you'd get with a new CPC 800:

  • a 40mm Plossl;
  • a standard Celestron 1.25" diagonal;
  • an AC adapter;
  • a cigarette plug DC adapter;
  • a phone jack to serial cable (if you feel the need to update the handset);
  • an 8x50 finderscope; and,
  • the original manual.

It also includes some additional items:

  • a Celestron dew shield (a $35 value);
  • a Pacific Design soft padded case for the OTA and accessories (a $200 value).

We do not have the packing boxes for this, so this is available for local pickup only.
