This is an 8" SW Goto collapsible dob in very good condition. The optics are basically clean - the primary mirror has a light coating of dust on it that will not impact your views. The mount is in excellent shape and both motors work well. The collapsible part of the scope collapses and opens easily.
The previous owner has made some minor modifications to the mount, as seen in the photos. He has included a machined tray that attaches with wing nuts to the round part of the base where you can put your portable rechargeable power supply, like a PowerTank or something similar. He has also made a small additional wooden base for the stand so that it will sit better on rough terrain.
This includes the following items:
- the stock cigarette plug power adapter
- Synscan handset
- a GPS unit that plugs into the handset (a $59 value)
- a 9x50 finderscope
- a 1.25" to 2" eyepiece adapter
- Orion padded bag for the tube (a $69 value)
It does not include any eyepieces.
We only have the packing box for the tube, including the original foam, which might be useful to you to transport the scope, but not for the base, so this is available for in-store pickup only.
