This is a Vixen 110mm field Maksutov OTA, with Japanese optics. It is in good condition, with mostly clean optics and a relatively unmarked body. The primary mirror has some minor dust from normal use and age. The inside of the dew shield has some spotting, but this does not affect the optics or your view. See the photos. There are some marks on the Vixen dovetail, which you would expect to see from normal use.
It includes:
- a 1.25" flip-mirror diagonal;
- an RDF
- Vixen dovetail, with a convenient carry handle;
- a foam-lined carry bag, with pockets for accessories.
It does not include any eyepieces, which are sold separately. If you've ever wanted to take a dive into an field Maksutov design, this one is your ticket.
This is a compact optical tube, with features found on Vixen's higher end telescopes. Suitable for viewing the night sky or birds in far off trees.
The Vixen VMC110L Reflector, is a 110 mm (4.33 inch) aperture modified Cassegrain f/9.4 optical tube assembly. The VMC110L includes a built in slide mirror. Install 2 different eyepieces and change views easily. Or, attach your camera to one and an eyepiece to the other and capture images with ease.
With no corrector plate, the VMC110L features a small corrector lens ahead of the secondary mirror. The curved mirror braces reduce the effect of light diffraction.
