This is a Takahashi FC-100DF refractor in pristine, like new condition. Although this unit is about 10 years old, there isn't a mark anywhere on it. The objective is whistle-clean, as is the 7.5x50 finder.
This telescope is from the estate of Thomas Shea, user name "teashea" on Cloudy Nights. Mr. Shea was known there for his extensive collection of more than a dozen Taks. We've received ten of them, all in equally brand new, perfect, pristine condition:

He explained his lack of use of all of his scopes there:
"I am much more a telescope collector than a telescope user. As with all my Takahashi telescopes, this system has been used for less than two hours - to test it when I first purchased it. Since then it has been sitting in my dedicated telescope room, with HEPA air filtration."

FC-100DF Refractor Telescope
Like the FS series, the FC series are apochromatic refractors with two-element fluorite lenses. The FC series have larger apertures and longer focal lengths than the FS series, and provide outstanding performance both for the visual observer and the digital imager. The FC series has its own dedicated set of reducers and flatteners, and is also able to use some of these accessories from the TOA series.
FC-100D
The FC-100D series consists of an apochromatic fluorite Steinheil doublet with a 100 mm objective diameter. Both telescopes in the series are 740 mm f/7.4 instruments. The front element uses an eco-glass for maximum light transmission, with a coated fluorite rear element for superb color correction.
FC-100DC
The FC-100DC model features a fixed dew shield and a 2.2 inch rack and pinion focuser. While a capable imaging instrument, it is designed with the visual observer in mind.
FC-100DF
The FC-100DF is optically identical to the DC model, but features an enhanced 2.7 –inch focuser. It also features a shorter tube length that provides additional back focus for digital imaging applications. This added back focus allows use of the FC-35RD reducer, which converts the DF to an f/4.8 instrument.

Takahashi - Clamshell (Long) for FC-100DF / FC-100DL / FC-100DC
Clamshell-type tube holder designed specifically to allow the Takahashi FC-100DF / FC-100DL / FC-100DC to be mounted on a photo tripod or a Takahashi equatorial mount. Felt lined, with chromed hinges and a chrome clamshell locking knob. It has a 1/4"-20 thread hole on the bottom for attachment to a standard photo tripod, as well as two unthreaded holes for attaching to Takahashi mounts, Losmandy GM8UV dovetail plates, etc. A flat boss and 1/4"-20 thread bolt on the top of the ring can be used as a piggyback camera mount. Painted Takahashi green.
Takahashi 7.5x50 finderscope
The Takahashi 7.5x50 finderscope is designed for use with all Takahashi refractors. This finderscope provides 7.5x magnification utilizing a 50 mm objective lens. The finderscope has a cross hair reticle. The finderscope mounting bracket is sold separately.
