Used C9.25-A SCT OTA - CGE

This is a used C9.25 OTA with a CGE dovetail.  It is about 18-20 years old and is in  good condition.  This OTA has the newer Starbright XLT coatings.  Please note that this is the non-Fastar model. 

However, although the optics are clean and clear of dust, the coatings are speckled.  See the photos.  We hypothesize that over the years, this scope got dewed over numerous times, and then the previous owner didn't take care of it properly before capping the scope off. 

This speckling WILL NOT affect visual or photographic use, as the coatings only enhance the transmission of light; the lack of coatings only reduce that transmission by a maximum of around 10%, and only in the tiny surface area where they're not present.  In other words, unlike dirt/dust which will block your view, when you have a problem with the coatings, nothing is blocking the light from getting through.    

We have taken this into consideration in pricing this OTA at OVER HALF-OFF the new price.  If you've ever wanted to move up to a large-aperture instrument, this is your chance!
