Condition: This is an older carbon fiber CPC 800 OTA with an older Hyperstar, mounted on a working CPC fork arm mount. It is from an estate and is approximately 15-18 years old. Even though it's older, the CF OTA is still in good condition, with relatively clean optics, and includes Bob's Knobs installed.
There are quite a few spots of dust on the corrector plate. However, these spots cover a tiny area, and will block significantly less than 1% of the light, so they will not affect your views or imaging. The rest of the corrector plate is clear and clean, with no smudging or smearing. See the photos. The Hyperstar is an older model as well, but has very clean and clear optics; it is in a nice Pelican-style case. We have tested the mount arm in the store, and it works just fine, should you choose to want to continue to use it.
However, because of its age, this won't mount on a current CPC 1100 tripod without some difficulty. We do not have the mounting bolts for this. Therefore, we are pricing this as if it's just an older OTA with an older version Hyperstar. We are leaving it mounted in the fork arms to give you a choice: 1) You can try to figure out how to mount the OTA and fork arm to a tripod and use it that way; or, 2) you can defork the tube and put the OTA on the mount of your choice.
Because we are pricing this as if it's just an OTA plus a project, and because this was set up as an imaging rig, this includes no additional accessories: no handset, no AC adapter, no diagonal, no finder, no eyepiece. This is just the OTA and a visual back. As of the listing of this item, we do have all of these other items for sale in our used section should you choose to buy them and equip the scope with them. If you're interested in using the mount, we can attach a handset and AC adapter to show you that it's working in the store.
