This is a 9x50 finderscope in good condition. The body shows some minor signs of wear, with marks in the paint/anodization. The objective's optics are clean, but mildly spotted. See the photo. We did look through this in the store and did not notice any degradation in the view; however, we have discounted this item accordingly to take these condition issues into account.
This one includes an older mount for an SCT that does not let you remove and replace the finder as easily as the newer mounts do, as well as the rubber O-ring, the objective dust cap, but no box.
This is a great bargain at well over HALF OFF and won't last!
Large-aperture finder scopes let you see fainter objects than smaller finders, and this one will literally show you the light! It has a fully coated, 50mm achromatic objective lens with adjustable focus. It has 9x magnification and a standard (inverted) 5.5-deg field of view with superimposed crosshairs. The aluminum tube is baffled and blackened inside to enhance contrast. This finder comes with a cast-aluminum bracket with a standard Vixen dovetail foot that fits most telescopes. Alignment of the finder scope is easy and intuitive by virtue of the two perpendicular nylon thumbscrews and an opposing spring-loaded pin. Weighs 16 oz. Black.
