Used Meade Super Plössl 56mm (2")

This is a used Meade Super Plossl in good condition. There are signs of wear on the outer body, including some marks on the barrel as well as a chip on the outer body (shown in photos). Otherwise, the optics are in excellent condition, are clean, and it comes in its original box. This is 56mm and a 2" barrel.

Note: Meade has changed manufacturers for their Plossl eyepieces. The newer eyepieces have white lettering and may have different focusing than the older yellow lettered models. We are waiting for Meade to provide updated product photos.

Meade 56mm focal length Series 4000 Super Plössl eyepiece, with 2" barrel. The Meade Series 4000 Super Plössl eyepieces offer precision engineered Meade optics, with wide fields, sharp images, and very satisfying views at very reasonable cost.

Utilizing the very latest in optical glass types, the Series 4000 eyepieces represent an excellent general-purpose eyepiece. Engineered with a high quality 4-element design and offering a generous 52° apparent field of view, the eyepiece uses premium grade optical glass with multi-layer coatings and blackened lens edges for great image sharpness and contrast. With fold down rubber eyeguard for comfortable viewing as well as blocking stray light.

This large 2" barrel diameter eyepiece requires a 2" eyepiece holder or diagonal. Please note that this eyepiece is not parafocal with other eyepieces of this series so you will need to refocus when switching eyepieces.
