Condition: This is an Evolution Mount head, no tripod. It has a battery fault - the battery will not take a charge. When you plug the mount in to charge it, you get a fast flash of the Celestron logo. This indicates that there is some sort of internal fault with the battery system. We have tried resetting the mount, but the fast flash is still present. You may have better luck resolving this issue.
However, we have tested it out repeatedly, a number of times over the past few days. The motors and handset work perfectly when the mount is plugged into an external power source, be it an AC adapter or an external rechargeable battery. Other than the battery fault, it is in excellent condition, clean and quiet.
It includes the AC adapter, and, of course, the NexStar + handset. We have heavily discounted this unit to less than half price due to the battery fault.
