Condition: This one is ridiculously rare. This is a 25-year-old TEC 10'' Maksutov in excellent condition. The glass is clear and clean, with very minimal dust. The body is practically unmarked.
This is the planet-killer you've been waiting for. It's f/12 with a 3000mm focal length. It is serial number 0203. Yuri has stated that since the particular glass needed to make the meniscus is no longer being produced, he will not be making these ever again. If you've ever wanted a 10" TEC Mak, now's your chance.
Includes rings, Losmandy plates, both top and bottom, and what we believe to be a straight-through 8x50 finderscope with a helical focuser. It has a built-in cooling fan, and includes the controller and power source for it. It also includes two solar filters that Yuri made for the scope, one full-aperture, one off-axis. See the photos.

Testing and Quality Assurance
TEC Telescopes go through rigorous testing to ensure top quality performance. Newtonian Rings are used throughout the glass production process and we then use an interferometer to correct any remaining imperfections. Every telescope is then tested vigorously to reach the most optimum Strehl ratio possible. Rest assured that your telescope has been optimized to be as optically perfect as possible. If the objective does not reach Yuri’s expectations, the telescope will not be shipped. As a strict policy, TEC will not release telescope test reports.
